Porsche 918 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid sports car designed by the renowned German manufacturer Porsche. This limited edition sports car was launched on September 18, 2013, and would be available till the stock lasts. With only 918 units, the Porsche 918 is the second hybrid car from Porsche after the 2014 Panamera S E-Hybrid. The production model was made available in December 2014 while it was initially unveiled at 80th Geneva Motor Show in March 2010 with the production version showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013. Porsche 918 Spyder with hybrid system uses a combination of a compact and potential 4.6-litre V8 engine that generates a peak power of 887 hp at 8600 rpm and a maximum torque of 530 Nm at 6500 rpm. It can further accelerate from 0-100kmph within a time frame of just 2.6 seconds touching to the top speed of 345kmph.
