  • Interior & Features

You’d be delightful to sit inside this car as detailing given to this model is of the utmost quality and will certainly blow your mind. The seats are cushioned to perfection while the armrests are designed keeping in mind the position of the driver and other passengers. Capable of occupying at most five passengers, this sedan is suited for everyone, driver as well as other occupants. The controls and buttons are placed ergonomically at the center console, which is easy to operate and are within the driver’s reach while the audio controls mounted steering wheel is fun to hold with only tilt option and it can’t be adjusted for reach. The instrument cluster with big fonts is easy to read despite the sunlight reflection which happens during bright sunny days. The bucket-like seats are responsible to offer incomparable comfort to the passengers and driver form the word go while the only concern that hits our minds is its low height. The low height makes difficult for elderly to enter in the car. Else the comfort offered is right on the money, cushioning is adequate, sofa-like feel is there at the rear seats while the armrests are also properly placed. Talking about the entertainment front, there are 8 speakers complementing the brand’s inbuilt audio system, which comes with USB/AUX/Bluetooth/HDMI/MP3/CD support. The bass quality is also up to the mark and you won’t feel the need of an after market equipment. Serving the purpose of a daily commuter and highway companion, it offers a number of storage options including four bottle holders present at each door, two cupholders at the front and a deep glovebox that adds on the cake. While the 536 litres of boot space gives you ample room to fit in luggage with ease for your weekend gateways and picnics.

Have a look at the exterior of this stylish and elegant Honda sedan and you need no more reasons behind its up shooting sales figures. Honda has added more chrome at the front than the previous model to make it look luxury and this new addition perfectly suits it. The new stylish sharp looking multi-reflector halogen headlamps merge into this radiator grille and make the front fascia wider and more appealing. The large sporty looking front bumper adds more value to the overall front with its interesting details. The bumper features a set of artistic fog lamps housing design where the spherical fog lamps are plotted together with the lower air dams giving a sports car like feel for a moment. Honda City carries sporty crisp creases all over its body which makes this drive look absolutely stunning, especially when it is in motion. Coming to the side profile, City shows off its aerodynamics through its 'arrow-esque' design language. Apart from its sensational styling, Honda City carries features which not only comfort the occupants but also make an addition to the aesthetics. The wing mirrors along with turn indicators, dark B-pillars and chrome garnished door handles, all make this exterior look plush. Coming to the wheels, 15-inch wheels with 175/65 R15 tires are appointed in the E trim while the VX Navi and VX+ Navi trims are packed with 16-inch alloy wheels with 185/55 R16 tires to ensure absolute stability. Well, there are countable auto manufacturers which give equal importance to the rear profile of their cars and thankfully Honda is among them. The rear side has been styled with the same perfection and the amazingly designed tail lamps with a connective chrome slat complete this part of the sedan.

    Mileage Running Cost

On the economy front, the sedan rises to the occasion yielding around 17-18 Kmpl at a steady pace of 80 kmph while in case of congested city roads this value reduces down to 13 Kmpl, which is also good enough as far as other market players are concerned. The company also offers an ECON button, which makes sure that the fuel economy of the car is always kept intact. While the Eco mode is on the speedometer lights turn to green instead of blue indicating that the car is running on the economical mode keeping the driver informed about the same. Without worrying too much about the same you can just sit back and relax while the rest will be taken care by the Honda’s mechanism.

    Engine & Fuel Consumption

Honda’s development team has granted it with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC SOHC four-cylinder engine that comes with the ability to pump out a max power output of 120 PS alongside a peak torque of 145 Nm. Mingled to a CVT gearbox, this sedan is fun to cruise along. The smooth and relaxed driving experience is on cards whenever you behind that Honda steering wheel. You’ll never be deprived of that extra level of power punch which you require at times to overtake. The CVT gearbox makes sure of providing you a seamless experience without any fuss. Gliding through the city roads is so much easy and fun now with the new City. With its proportioned body structure, it maneuvers way too quickly offering comfort to the driver from the word go.

    Braking Safety

Safety has always been at topmost priority for brands like Honda and City isn’t an exception for that matter. It comes loaded with safety features like ABS (Anti-lock braking system) with EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Hill Launch Assist (HLA). SRS Dual Airbags, 3 point adjustable ELR seatbelts with load limiter and pretensioners are also there to help the cause both for the front as well as rear occupants. Adding to this are few features like multi view reverse camera with guidelines, child seat anchor (ISO-FIX), child lock, pinch free power windows, keyless entry system, door beams, security alarm and high mount stop lamp that aid in safety of the passengers.
