Apart from manifesting their desire for powerful vehicles, Honda Motor has kept the tradition alive of creating stylish, practical and economical cars since its inception. One such offering is the Honda Brio, which was first introduced in the year 2011 in the subcompact hatchback segment. Introduced with a unique design language, the car gained attention instantly while its groundbreaking performance resulted in the increased demand. The hatchback has recently received its facelift to cope up with the increasing competition and with the recent update, the Brio is one of the most stylish options available in the respective segment.

    Interior & Features

The Japanese automaker has been famous throughout decades to innovate different flair of auto designs experimenting with the overall layout. Besides its sub compact exterior dimensions, Brio offers sufficient space inside the cabin. Although the rear passengers may feel a little bit cramped sitting, there is no problem to accommodate 3 occupants. Black theme set interiors culminate sense of sophistication with little chrome-inserts on the steering wheel, gearshift box and door handles. Seats are flexible, can be shifted to and fro for comfortable seating position and equipped with necessary driver's informative panel. Two air conditioning vents are placed on the sides of the display screen at such an angle that directly sends cool waves to the rear passengers. The adjustable steering wheel with the urethane cover on it compliments the driver's height adjustable seat to sit in a comfortable position while driving.

Looking at Honda Brio's rear profile you will notice the intricacy added to the car. This new car is a simple, fascinating and everyday lifestyle compatible subcompact hatchback foreground with improved aesthetics and functional enhancements. Its stylish front bumper and chrome grille dominates the front with smooth contours for enhanced aerodynamics. Halogen projector headlights give Brio a subtle windswept look while providing better visibility at night. Lower bumper is provided in black plastic cladding with company badge marked upon it. Its door handle and outside mirrors are kept in same as the body color which directly increases the fun element of Brio. Distinctively designed rear windscreen and roof spoiler employed with high stop brake light make it stand out in the crowd. Rear defroster clears condensation and frost jammed over windshield for a clear back view to the driver. 14-inch of solid alloy rims for a dash of elegance in your sprint is outfitted to Brio. The taillights complement the Brio's boot for a stylish flair along with giving it a unique touch.

    Engine & Fuel Consumption

This subcompact mini hatchback from Honda is powered with 1.3-litre, 4-cylinders in line with 16-valves, SOHC i-VTEC engine that makes it efficient car when it comes to fuel economy. Mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic gearbox, it becomes capable enough to deliver decent performance on city roads through its high torque at low rpm. The pickup numbers and engine performance it gives may not be the best-in-class but considering its small size and meager engine, it is acceptable. It churns out maximum power output of 100 PS at 6000 rpm along with a peak torque of 127 Nm at 4800 rpm.

    Braking Safety

While driving Honda Brio, you get more confidence and feel like you are treated to a stable drive with a suspension that ensures high quality comfort, ride and smooth handling. This is further supported by front ventilated disc brakes and rear drum brakes. In case of emergency braking to bring the car to a safe stop, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) helps to evenly apply brake force to all the wheels. For added safety, the hatchback comes with Dual Front SRS Airbags for driver and front passenger. The seats are fixed with pre-tensioners with load limiter seat belt to avoid jitters on uneven roads. Immobilizer protects this vehicle against any approaching theft and prying eyes. For stable driving around corners and also for traversing hills, shift hold control system helps you to assist.

The little car that could :)

I have been driving the Brio for over a year now and it has never failed to impress me with its power and agility. The boot space leaves much to be desired but it is indeed a little pocket rocket. Climbing mountains is a breeze thanks to its 1.3L i-VTEC engine. Love this car! Read More

      Stylish Hatch

Many think that the Brio is a weirdly designed car, especially from the rear. But I loved this cute hatchback at the first look. Moreover, when I drove a friend’s Brio, I instantly knew I want to bring one home for myself. And it has now been more than two years with my Brio S MT. Boot space aside, this Read More
