The ingenious box of the German automaker BMW unveiled a paragon of aesthetics and left the rivals head scratching with the new BMW Z4 Roadster. BMW gambled the market with a narrow engine offering decent power in the nifty Z4 Roadster. The first generation Z4 was launched in 2002 being the successor of the Z3 receiving huge acclaim and bagged “Design of the year” by Automobile magazine. Later, the car was revived in 2009 with a facelift of folding hardtop roof to appeal a wider audience commandeering a Red Dot design award for the Bavarian automaker.

BMW Philippines being a little frugal offered the young and nifty Z4 in two trim levels. The all new Z4 features a sleeker shape with long bonnet and chubby looking boot giving it a the proportions of a classic sports car. The folding hardtop roof of the Z4 can leave a long lasting impression and marks its presence amongst the crowd. The roof comes in varied contrasts to make sure everyone that you are driving a cabriolet. The front of the car glazes with the all new circular gas filled LED running lights splashed with an eyebrow line adjoining the headlight cluster. The Z4 features the symbolic kidney grille encircled with chrome trim having multiple blades giving it an authentic BMW look from front. The elegant silhouette and curvaceous aerodynamics makes its a perfect youth icon. The nifty roadster is dimensioned judiciously to reduce drag coefficient and gain performance of the car. The overall dimensions of this car stand out to be 4239 mm x 1790 mm x 1291 mm (L x W x H).
The interiors of the all new Z4 sustains the excitement of the exteriors giving an adrenaline rush to drive in. The captivating interiors are just like a perfectly tailored suit to meet all the needs and demands of the driver. The automaker has been very careful in designing the classic interiors being ergonomic and intuitive. BMW Z4 comes with a sporty driving wheel mounted with multifunctional controls and low positioned seats for improved comfort. The controls are optimally positioned with a pop out wide touch screen illuminated with infotainment systems. The car provides plenty of room to fit in 1+1 and a considerable boot space of 310 litres shrinking to 180 litres with lid closed.

Although the Z4 cannot give the feeling of a Boxster being a little on the engine revs and output. The boot space of this vehicle is limited for a casual drive and being a little overpriced the Mercedes Benz SLK350 and a Porsche Boxster might grab more attention.
