Honda Civic RS Turbo is the 2016 Car of the Year in the Philippines

MANILA: The car which has created a lot of buzz in not only the Philippines but, across the globe has now managed to add another feather in the cap of Honda. Yes, Honda Philippines confirmed that the all-new Civic RS turbo was officially awarded as the 2016 Car of the Year - Philippines and SpeedLab Tuner’s Choice Award. Among the 72 contenders, the industry's most prestigious award was given to the sporty sedan of Honda at the One Rockwell East Tower in Makati City.

With these latest accolades, the 10th-generation all-new Civic has now become even more dominant in the segment. These awards and recognitions are not only limited to the Philippines and Civic has been also awarded as the 2016 North American Car of the Year, 2016 Canadian Car of the Year and some other prestigious ones.

These numerous awards clearly indicate that the Japanese automaker is successful in producing a car which is capable of delivering an entirely unique experience. The athletic designing, sporty cockpit, powerful yet economical engine, and a full suite of new and advanced technologies made a significant impression on CAGI organizers and test drivers, which eventually made Civic the overall winner after three challenging test days with several instrumented test runs and qualitative drives.
