MANILA: The countdown for Manila International Auto Show 2016 has begun and with less than 10 days in hand, the automakers are gearing up to present the best of what they have in their garage. Since Honda takes the privilege of being a preferred brand among Filipinos, the expectations are high among the customers and critics. Honda has already announced that the all-new Honda Civic 2016 will be launched at the MIAS 2016 and now another confirmation of new Honda Accord 2016 is issued by the Japanese giant. The D-segment sedan has already approached some of the ASEAN markets but that has not faded the charm of a launch on the Filipino soil among the prospective customers. The new face and features of Honda Civic 2016 have already heated up the market and expectations from Honda for new Accord 2016. Here is what you can expect from this big lavish sedan which is making its way to the upcoming MIAS 2016 -
Just like its sibling – Honda Civic 2016, the all-new Honda Accord is also arriving with a revised front which is surely going to boost the sales of Honda for this year. The usage of thick chrome has indeed helped the new Accord 2016 in fetching that attention which is expected by the manufacturer for this mid-size sedan. The headlamps and bumper have got some tweaks to adjust with the new grille and make it look enticing overall. The new wheel designs and a whole new color palette make this drive bolder and aggressive than the outgoing model.
Customers who are keeping high expectations from Honda Accord 2016 may feel a little disappointment in this section. There are no noticeable changes in the cabin and apart from minor tweaks with the same features and facilities. Even though there is nothing new in the cockpit, all we would say is that it was already captivating and well-equipped for any modifications.
The new Accord 2016 may inherit the same engines for Filipino customers as offered to the Thai customers. For Thai auto market, Honda Accord 2016 has a choice between 2.4-litre DOHC and 2.0-litre SOHC 4-inline cylinder engines. Both of the engines look decently efficient and so if you are someone who is very much considerate about power, performance and efficiency, new Accord won't disappoint you.
Summing up the Honda Accord 2016, we would label it a classy and performance-based mid-size sedan which is arriving to kill the market of Volkswagen Passat and Hyundai Sonata. The prices are yet to reveal and since MIAS 2016 is already approaching, we find no other occasion apt to disclose the same in front of the prospective customers.
